We make work that is responsive to our time, creating urgent, accessible cultural interventions. We believe in using creativity to come together around the issues that matter most to us and imagine solutions collectively. By challenging existing power structures and sharing new ways of working we can foster positive change for individuals, the creative industries and wider society. We specialise in working with individuals aged 12-29 who navigate the world through&nbsp;multiple, intersecting identities&nbsp;including race, class, gender, sexuality and disabilities.&nbsp;Through long term collaboration, we create theatre, art and cultural projects for social change, making work that connects our experiences&nbsp;and unique perspectives.&nbsp;&nbsp;Our devised performances are energetic, raw and fun. We specalise in making a mess on stage, leaving behind a trail of chaos. We were a young company of theatre makers until 2020, when we moved to a multi-art form collective model. Our core collective is a diverse group of artists aged 18-29 whose ideas and projects shape the work we deliver for other young people. Our practice spans theatre, sound, film, fashion, music, zine making and youth-led research and we are experts in facilitation and co-creation. We develop new diverse artists and arts leaders, employing, supporting and commissioning the next generation of emerging artists and change makers through a unique co-creation methodology. Young artists are at the centre of how the company works, both creatively and strategically. Sounds Like Chaos was founded in 2009 by Gemma Rowan and Roisin Feeny and began as a drop in youth drama group at The Albany, Deptford.
