Associate Artists at the Albany, our Lewisham based collective comprises 12-25 year olds from across South East London. We make work that is responsive to our time, creating urgent, accessible, cultural interventions through the lens of our collective. Together we are reimagining the future of the creative industries.  We do this by creating new devised performances and by developing new diverse artists and arts leaders, employing, supporting and commissioning the next generation of emerging artists through a unique co-creation methodology. We put young artists at the centre of how the company works, both creatively and strategically.

We want people working in art to come from all different backgrounds so the things we see, do and remember reflect us all as a people. We believe in our members as exciting artists now and in the future. We nurture their confidence in their ideas and skills. We create theatre, art and cultural projects for social change, through long-term collaboration with them, making work that connects our experiences across age, class, gender and race.  Our devised performances are energetic, raw and fun. We specalise in making a mess on stage leaving behind a trail of chaos.
