Ballyman

Ballyman is a short film by Faruq Adigun.

Ballyman is a short-film by Associate Artist Faruq Adigun, exploring the parallels between psychosis and spirituality through the cataclysmic redemption journey of our main character Deji.

Deji is a young Black man from South East London who traverses the city hiding behind his balaclava, not because he is up to no good, but because his current mental footing forces him to shield away from the world as he steps upon his new path of enlightenment.

This film is being developed as a device to look at mental illness in a different way, to explore the idea of a psychotic episode as a modern day pilgrimage
