I make work that explores identity, community and honesty with young people but for everyone. I am currently producing more Standards events. Standards is an evening of creativity and conversation; an event that brings artists and community together to be celebrated.
In the future I would love to continue growing as a facilitator, producer, actress and collaborator. I hope to keep creating work that encourages people to speak and live within their truth.

Question of the Day
(Instagram stories @soundslikechaos)
Question of the day is a segment of ‘Standards’, a show run by young people for everyone, at the Albany. We discuss anything and everything you can think of; from relationships to astrophysics, showcasing thoughts and opinions from people from all walks of life. For Question of the day I will take over @soundslikechaos Instagram stories for a week, starting Tuesday 12 May. I’m asking questions in the lockdown to show that every day is different, and we should focus on how we feel, and embrace the little changes.2020 VISION a new way of supporting young artists to rest, make and emerge from the global pandemic. SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS associateI enjoy many art forms. Immersive work that uses audio, light, and touch. I enjoy experimental work and working with young people, especially with topics surrounding activism and mental health. I often work through theatre performance, creative writing and spoken word and I am a big fan of youth led work. Themes in my work often follow empowerment, equality, mental well-being and spirituality. I always want to expand the mind!
Recently I have been working towards an immersive experience that focuses on deeper self-reflection of the soul and mind. I am also working on a community and youth lead collective that focuses on theatre and mental well-being that is self-taught through connection. And I am working on a zine project that photographs women and encourages their natural beauty to empower women and challenge media beauty standards.
In the future I see myself creating safe spaces for young people who don’t feel heard, making space for their voice and amplifying them. I want to work in theatre therapy and directly improve the mental health of vulnerable people through the arts.

CHRISTINE
BRAMWELL
SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS Associate & Community ProducerI enjoy making work that crosses the physical and digital, something that anyone can take part in [as an audience or participant]. I work in an interdisciplinary way, with recent focus on live streamed sound, field recordings and walking. These tools are used to explore changing environments, internal and external shifts.
It started with an idea to document the silence of lockdown, when walking became the [my] primary way to explore outside. Thinking about the different sounds that linger in other communities, experiencing their environments. Now there is more focus on how those sounds transform in our speakers.
I hope to never abandon curiosity, to work with my fears and share my discoveries with our community. I want to not make sense at some points, in hopes that one day it will all fit together. Most importantly, I hope to find ways that prompt compassionate exchange.

CLEO THOMPSON
SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS associateI love working across all art forms. Using mainly the medium of Fashion and Installation, I love to explore the concept of identity in all of its forms and how we leave behind our imprints of social beings.
I am currently preparing for my final year of studying Fashion at Kingston School of Art. My final collection will be a multimedia body of work consisting of 5 - 6 garments and hopefully a moving imagery / film to accompany the pieces and express my concept.
I would love to be an artist that works with and reflects my community. Creating a community space where people can come to work on their art practice, give offerings to the community whether through art, music or exploring radical ideas.

FARUQ ADIGUN
SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS ASSOCIATE & CREATIVE EXPLORERWho am I, after I tell you I’m a Creative Explorer?
The answer to that first of all is Wordsmith. What I do is put words together in many different forms be it lyrically or within poetry, playwriting or writing for screen, journaling and scribbling stuff down.
Once the writing is done or begun I then manifest those words into a living breathing entity that lives past thought and paper, an entity that lives within a musical frequency, that lives through spoken word or brought to life on stage and on film.
The words I put together create a vision that all can indulge in.
Words create reality, words induce vision. Perhaps one day I’ll received as a visionary.

2020 VISION
Hmm I Wonder
(spoken word & short film)
An absurd poem looking at the principles of perspective through spoken language and film. This poem flips reality on its head or tails. Yet, what is reality when each of us could have a different definition for a word or a different story for a situation. Look at it this way or that way, the facts remain the same. This is a poem made by me on the day that I made it.
Times like this
(spoken word)
Times like this focuses on my feeling and understanding right now, in the center of a changing world. Times like this is a reminder to persevere. A reminder to look on the bright side. It’s like it creeps in the night but lurks through the day
time
paused
the people are in awe
some think yes, this is awesome
the rest think no, this awful
at first the feeling was powerless
like a glass filled cup
re assessed
now, I feel
power filled
they said no
no picnics in fields
lock yourselves down till the world gets healed
I’m glad, I myself have healed
healed from the pressure
these days the pain I feel is lesser
apart from when my uncle died
my eyes got wetter
last time I saw him I didn’t say much so perhaps I’ll send him a letter
I’m sure he’ll receive it never
but that’s better than never ever
never have I ever lost a figure so close
so today I would like to raise a toast
to the NHS, I’ll for them I’ll clap to infinity
and for the families who have lost their anchors
Don’t blame yourselves, the selection was made at random

Orbit Podcast
Spotify
I am a writer, producer and musical artist, with inspiration from afro beat(s), hip hop, and neo- soul, I create genre bending soundtracks. My work spans a range of audio content critically, music and podcasts. I am also a performer of theatre and have performed with companies such as Sounds like Chaos, Lyric Hammersmith, and SHUNT. I have experience working physically and on voice acting projects, more recently recording audio tours for the Unicorn Theatre.
Recently, I have been producing a podcast in collaboration with the Albany. Orbit addresses creative development and topics which affect upcoming creatives both practically and mentally. We look for interesting perspectives and fresh practitioners and share our knowledge and experience. I have been fortunate enough to organise podcast training which was offered to other SLC members and led to multiple shows being created.
I am also working on making music and released an independent album in 2020. This project Seasyck minds explored how emotions often have a feeling not unlike being taken by the sea. Sound waves here aim to find the resonant frequencies that define our feeling, and move them.
I would like to create work that sparks people's curiosity. I would like my music to be a place where people can cry, laugh and dance. I feel as though telling stories of the area and the people I grew up around are at the forefront for me. Through both music and theatre I hope to inspire everyone to embrace their creativity. I feel as though art can be used to change perceptions, and as such I hope that through my work there are realistic but also hopeful (or just different) stories being told.

2020 VISION
Nu world is a collection of sounds painting a picture for a new way of life. The soundtrack to a peaceful revolution. I made this music with the intention of meditating along to it. Depicting and manifesting a more connected world. The use of ambient sounds grounds and reminds the listener to be mindful. The cover art work are pictures taken by myself and are an attempt to capture the beauty already present around us.
In tracks Nuu, Anyway and Jungle I started with the idea of adding vocals and poetry to the music. During this time I’ve had to deal with difficulties in consistent technology, and outside pressures. The music reflects this as it asks questions of the listening world. The lyrics were born out of the more unknown feeling that I have had this last month. It still paints some hope, though it’s cautious. It remembers that the new world is as daunting as it is exciting. It is a project of duality, and a lone agent commandeering himself.

I enjoy creating devised theatre on all different topics, I also enjoy writing spoken word on current world topics such as race, identity and culture, love, spirituality. I have recently taken an interest in photography after completing a short course. I am also interested in fashion and styling.
I am currently working on a devised theatre show called DIRT at the Albany with Sounds Like Chaos where I will be playing one of the Commentators. I have also recently finished acting in a short film and experimental music video and will be acting in a narrative music video in September. I am also work as a model and have recently done a shoot for the clothing brand “cavempt”.
In the future, I want to continue to express myself and my beliefs through different art forms. I hope to inspire people through allowing myself to be honest and vulnerable with my work so they, in turn, feel comfortable to do the same. I hope to continue photography, acting, spoken word, modelling and fashion styling to a higher level as I have discovered that these are great creative outlets to express and learn about who I really am.

Unrequited love is a visual spoken word poem of self love. Lockdown has given us time to reflect on the important things we usually neglect, like ourselves. I hope to motivate people to start their journey of self love or continue it if they have started to give up. SOUNDS LiKE CHAOS associateMy work is eclectic, and whatever piques my interest at the time, most importantly it examines broad cultural trends, based on their unique perspectives focusing on access, inclusion and diversity. I work mostly solo and in performance.
Currently, I am beginning to start a youtube channel using pop culture and society to share my ideas and stories, drawing on history and aunique perspective to educate and debate while centering the unheard in the conversation.
In the future, I would love to get into researching and producing. Making things happen would be great. Mostly being a socially conscious, somewhat educational and fun artist who's stories reveal perspectives you've yet to consider.

Times are tough but so are you
(original song)
Times are tough but so are you is a new song written in the form of a jingle. It’s about encouraging people to feel positive about the times surrounding Covid-19 and all the positive aspects. I made it in lockdown to promote happiness and joy and to make people feel not as alone in these unknown and uncertain times. I think it’s important for everyone to remember that times are hard but we are all in it together.

My name is Rofeda Amira Bougaga. I am a multi-disciplinary artist who is interested in utilising creativity as a device to make social and political change within society. I am a research expert, activist, spoken word
artist and performer. I have been using my expertise to raise awareness on neglected issues, such as women’s safety, and young people’s mental health.
The Body Remembers is a one-woman show and creative campaign surrounding a girl who is suffering from the impacts of sexual assault. The show also highlights how normalised the idea of sexual harassment is within society, and is essentially a call to action for the audience to make conscious decisions in order to change the way that both women and sexual harassment is perceived. I hope that this show will attract attention by those in positions of power, and that it reaches those who are victims of sexual assault. My creative ambition was Michaela Coel’s series ‘I May Destroy You’, which was about the aftermath of a woman’s sexual assault. Watching this made me realise how trauma manifests
within the mind, and how it connects with the body. I resonated so much with the contents of the show and henceforth inspired me to want to write my own story.

About Aleksa
Aleksa Asme is a spoken-word artist, actress, public speaker, writer, event producer, and facilitator who uses her creative skills, and powerful way with words to amplify the voices of the voiceless. She has also recently expanded her creative portfolio, launching her photography business, “Agape’s Angle.”
As a freelancer, Aleksa specialises in digital, social media marketing, and communications for many online companies and brands, whilst creating content for herself, and maintaining her own social media presence as a method for reaching young people. She is also an actress and associate artist for Sounds Like Chaos, whom she facilitates workshops, and conducts peer-research for.
Despite being multi-faceted in the work she does, Aleksa remains unified with a strong focus on youth empowerment and the issues experienced by young people. She dedicates her work to cause positive chaos in institutions and corporations to provide greater spaces and opportunities for our future leaders and generations to come.
Head to Aleksa’s Linktree to find out about her projects.
People, Places & Poetry
In 2023, Aleksa concluded a year-long peer-research project on behalf of Sounds Like Chaos, and the Albany, in partnership with the Mayor of London, Greater London Authority, and Partnership for Young London. This research explored the question, “Where do young people aged 14-25, living in South London go, when they aren’t at school or at home, and is there a correlation between mental health, and the spaces young people can access?”
This project illustrated the urgent need for more free, accessible, and safe spaces for young people in London, and therefore, Aleksa has since been prioritising her work to ensure that those profound findings do not remain dormant by creating more spaces for our youth.
Come As You Are
One of these spaces that Aleksa has established is “Come As You Are”, a youth-takeover running every Tuesday evening during school terms, between 3:30pm and 8pm, at The Albany theatre in Deptford. A free space that offers young people total autonomy, providing them the opportunities to participate in exciting creative workshops, a platform to perform their hearts desires, dive into some arts & crafts, play a diverse range of games, enjoy some snacks and food, or just do nothing by themselves or with friends.

Hi, I’m Kaylah Jackson – an actress, presenter, and young creative.
I’m a recent graduate of The BRIT School, where I spent three years training as an actor. Since 2019, I’ve been a member of Sounds Like Chaos, contributing to several devised shows. Most recently, I performed in the young company’s production,

I’ve also started a radio training program with Reprezent Radio and am excited to expand my presence in the radio scene!

People, Places &
Poetry
In addition to acting, I’ve had the opportunity to host and facilitate events with SLC, and I’m eager to take on more in the future. I’m passionate about research as well, and one of my proudest achievements was co-leading a major research project for The Albany and Sounds Like Chaos in collaboration with The Greater London Authority and Partnership for Young London. The project focused on understanding where young people go when they’re not at school or home and how the spaces they occupy might relate to their mental wellbeing. It was an incredible experience, and I had the chance to lead creative workshops and interviews.
Okay So Basically
In partnership with The Albany and Sounds Like Chaos, I also created and hosted a podcast called Okay So Basically. The podcast features young creatives from my local community who are actively pursuing their passions. The idea grew out of the research project I worked on, and I’m excited to bring more creative projects to life in the future.
